George Clinton Playing Free Concert

Everything's coming up P-Funk. First there was last week's news that George Clinton's iconic spacecraft would land at the Smithsonian, and now we hear (via the City Paper) that the Grandmaster of Funk will play a free outdoor concert in Rockville on Sunday.

Part of the city's Hometown Holidays event series, the concert happens at 6:30 p.m. at the Rockville Town Center. The public space will open that day from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Rockville's only about 20 miles from D.C. and the following day is a holiday -- road trip, anyone?
