(202) 797-5102 - Venue Website

First Class, Inc. is an independently owned non-profit lifelong learning program that was launched in September of 1984. Our specialty is the short-term, no frills seminar packed with practical information. Our motto: "Learn it on Tuesday, Use it on Wednesday!" First Class, Inc. is directed by Debra Leopold who oversees the hiring of teachers, the curriculum content and the catalog production. In 1988, First Class was awarded the "Best Brochure" award from The Learning Resources Network (LERN) and in 1989, we received a $5,000 Small Business Development Grant from Dun & Bradstreet. In 1990, we were honored to receive a "Creative Marketing" award from LERN. In 1993, First Class, Inc. was named a founding partner in the Center for the Advancement of Lifelong Learning. In 1995, Ms. Leopold was named "Marshalls' Working Woman of the Month." In 2001, the First Class Inc. website was cited as one of the top three model websites for adult learners by LERN.
