National Symphony Orchestra: Alexander Vedernikov, Conductor/Vadim Repin, Violin, Plays Brahms

This is not the first time I heard Repin playing Brahms concerto. But something was a bit off the night I heard, Nov 7th Sat. I cannot believe it and hate to tell this, but he even missed some of the notes and made slightly off intonation in some of the codes. Sorry, Nuri, the concert master, you even made face there. His virtue is not always the dynamic power but calmly calculated accuracy and clarity of sound. So, it was sad to see it happened. Something wrong? Was he not happy with the conductor, or in a bad physical condition or something? He almost conveyed the feeling as if: I am so alone this world, I am playing this, but I cannot get into the music, somewhat I am doing something so unrewarded. Believe me, he is one of the greatest violinist in the world. I was at his master class and he was such a nice caring person. But he may be too sensitive to be narcissistic and carry the mission to be a charismatic artist? I am open to hear any other opinion. I would like to hear positive review of that evening.
