The Patuxent River 4-H Center, located on 74 acres of land near the Patuxent River, is an open space environmental education facility. The center is a cooperative venture between the Patuxent River 4-H Foundation, The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission and the Maryland Cooperative Extension Service. The site has three cabins for overnight use, a main activity center with meeting rooms and dining facilities, and a pavilion for picnics. Catering services are available.
The center offers a variety of environmental education programs and activities for people of all ages. Daily, weekly and overnight programs are offered regularly along with traditional 4-H activities. The center is accredited by the American Camping Association.
